Answers to Common Questions:

Where are classes held?

All classes are held at Gather in Virginia Beach. Gather is a co-working space located in Town Center on the second floor above the Cheesecake Factory.

What is Gather’s address?

Is parking free?

YES! Though there are some surface lots and street parking spots around Town Center, the easiest and closest parking option is the GREEN parking garage. Be sure to exit the garage using the SOUTH elevators otherwise you will exit on the opposite side of the garage from the Gather entrance.

How do I get inside Gather?

From inside the parking garage, take the SOUTH elevators to floor 1. Exit the elevator to the left then turn right to exit the building lobby. Gather is located across the street, the entrance is between Macaron Tart and the Cheesecake Factory.

How long are classes?

Project classes are typically 2 hours while the intro 101 classes are generally 2.5 hours long. Some larger project classes may need additional time and meet more than once.

What do I need to bring to class?

In general, all supplies are included in the cost of each class so you can just bring yourself. If anything special is needed from home, that will be noted on individual class listings.

Are the 101 Learn to Knit/Crochet classes actually beginner-friendly classes?

YES. The 101 introductory classes for both knit and crochet assume students have zero prior experience when they come to class. Classes are designed with absolute beginners in mind.

What happens if I register for a class then am not able to attend?

We understand that life happens. A full refund is available for cancellations at least 48 hours before class. Less than 48 hours before class there are no refunds. Supplies were purchased for your spot and the room size was chosen and paid for based on the number of class registrations.

If something comes up less than 48 hours before class that will prevent you from attending, you have two options. You may choose to either pick-up the class supplies that were purchased on your behalf, OR you may choose to move your registration to another class.

NOTE: If you opt to move your registration into another class, the difference between the cost of the classes will be due if the new class cost is higher AND the supplies from the original class are forfeit. No partial refunds will be given if the make-up class costs less than the missed class.

I really want to learn to stitch but I can't get to any of the 101 classes, what options do I have?

If you are not able to fit one of the introductory classes into your schedule, contact me to discuss private lessons. These sessions are shorter because we can cover a lot more ground 1:1 than in a class setting. Plus, the content is tailored to your specific needs.
