Sock 2 - Afterthought Everything: October 15

Celebrate SOCKtober! In this follow-up to the basics class, students will expand their knit sock knowledge with an afterthought heel, toe, & cuff.  Students will learn to turn a yarn tube into a mini sock and leave with the knowledge to create a full-size wearable following an afterthought sock pattern. Magic loop technique is used and there is required pre-class homework for this class.

Audience: Knit - Adults, ages 12+

Level: Intermediate

Details: 5:30-7:30p, Thursday, Oct. 15

Pre-Class Homework: Students should bring a completed tube (worked in the round) using medium weight (4) yarn & US size 8 (5mm) circular needles (32"/80cm or 40"/100cm cord).  Yarn & needles from the intro class on 10/8 may be used for this homework swatch.  Directions: CO 24 stitches, join to work in the round, using magic loop method knit 21 rounds, BO - do NOT weave in tails.

Notes: Students need size 8 circular needles (32" or 40" cord) and a small amount of medium weight (4) yarn.  Missed classes are NOT able to be rescheduled.

Prerequisites: Knit 103/Knit Series – or, students must be comfortable both knitting and purling, as well as have some experience fixing mistakes & working in the round. This class is designed for intermediate level knitters with prior experience.
