Sock Series - All 3 Classes: October 8, 15, & 22

Celebrate SOCKtober! In this series students will learn 3 methods for creating socks while working with larger yarn and needles.  The overall series focus will be knowledge needed to translate these skills into wearable sizes.  Magic loop technique is used throughout this series.

Class 1 Intro to Socks (meets 10/8): Students learn to work the magic loop method and get an intro to making a mini vanilla sock start to finish.

Class 2 Afterthought Everything (meets 10/15): Students learn to pick-up stiches and add afterthought heels, toes, & cuffs.  This session has REQUIRED pre-class homework, see notes below.

Class 3 Two at a Time (meets 10/22):  Students learn to work both socks at the same time. 

Audience: Knit - Adults, ages 12+

Details: 5:30-8:30p, Thursday, Oct. 8, 5:30-7:30 Thursdays, Oct. 15 & 22

Class 2 Prep Work: Students should bring a completed tube (worked in the round) using yarn & circular needles from class 1.  This swatch is required homework BEFORE class 2. Directions: CO 24 stitches, join to work in the round, using magic loop method knit 21 rounds, BO - do NOT weave in tails.

Notes: Missed classes are NOT able to be rescheduled.

Prerequisites: Knit 103/Knit Series – or, students must be comfortable both knitting and purling, as well as have some experience fixing mistakes & working in the round. This class is designed for intermediate level knitters with prior experience.
